Licensed, temperature-controlled storage for Sharjah's manufacturers, free-zone traders and healthcare suppliers.
In short: Sharjah combines a large industrial base with two significant free zones and a dense population, which produces both healthcare manufacturing and healthcare demand. SFIMS serves it with licensed temperature-controlled storage in Abu Dhabi and scheduled delivery north.
Sharjah is unusual in that it generates healthcare logistics demand from two directions at once.
On one side there is manufacturing and trade — the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone host companies that import, assemble and re-export, including in the health and consumer-health space. On the other there is a large resident population with the hospitals, clinics and pharmacies that implies.
Both need compliant storage. Neither is well served by general warehousing.
SAIF Zone and Hamriyah are free zones, and the same caution applies as anywhere else in the UAE: a free-zone licence does not automatically permit storing or distributing medicines onto the mainland.
If your plan involves supplying UAE customers from free-zone stock, get the structure confirmed before the goods arrive. It is a cheap question early and an expensive one late.
Sharjah is comfortably reachable from Abu Dhabi, but the corridor through Dubai is one of the busiest stretches of road in the country and it does not reward optimism.
For chilled stock, a delivery that sits in traffic is a delivery losing margin on its temperature budget. So the northern run is scheduled and planned rather than dispatched whenever an order lands. That is less flexible and considerably more reliable, and for medicines that is the right trade.
SFIMS runs one licensed facility, and it is in Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi. We do not operate a separate depot in Sharjah, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise on a landing page.
What that means in practice: your stock is held under DOH and MOH approved conditions in Mussafah, and it reaches Sharjah on temperature-controlled delivery. For most customers that is the better arrangement anyway — one licensed location, one temperature record, one inventory, rather than stock split across sites with a handover in the middle where the cold chain can break.
If you need stock physically held inside Sharjah for same-hour access, we are not the right fit, and we will tell you that on the call.
Yes, on the scheduled northern route, with temperature-controlled handling for chilled lines.
Usually yes, but confirm the licensing structure first — free-zone registration does not by itself permit mainland distribution of medicines.
Pharmaceutical activity in Sharjah sits under the federal MOHAP framework rather than Abu Dhabi's DoH. Our facility holds both DOH and MOH approval, which is what allows us to serve customers across the emirates.
On the scheduled route. Frequency is set by your order pattern, and for cold chain lines scheduling is what keeps the delivery controlled rather than hopeful.
