Licensed medicine and device storage serving Dubai's healthcare and import sector, from a DOH & MOH approved facility in Abu Dhabi.
In short: Dubai holds much of the UAE's healthcare trade — importers, distributors, free-zone entities and a dense hospital and clinic network. SFIMS serves those companies with licensed, temperature-controlled storage in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi and scheduled temperature-controlled delivery into Dubai.
A large share of healthcare product entering the UAE is bought, sold or coordinated from Dubai. Importers and distributors cluster there. Dubai Healthcare City and Dubai Science Park host healthcare and life-science businesses. Jebel Ali handles the freight. The hospital and clinic network is dense and demanding.
What Dubai has less of is licensed pharmaceutical storage capacity that is actually available in small quantities. Plenty of warehousing; considerably less of it approved for medicines and willing to rent you six pallet positions.
The instinct is to store where you sell. For medicines that instinct is often wrong, because what you are really buying is a licence and a temperature record, not a postcode.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai are joined by one of the most straightforward road corridors in the region. A scheduled temperature-controlled run covers it as routine logistics, not as an expedition. Meanwhile you get a facility with capacity, flexible terms, and a DOH and MOH approval behind it.
Where it does not work: if you need to physically touch your stock every day. Be honest with yourself about whether that is a real requirement or a comfort.
Many Dubai healthcare businesses are registered in free zones, and free-zone licensing does not automatically permit storing or distributing medicines onto the mainland.
This is one of the most common structural problems we see, and it is far cheaper to resolve before stock is shipped than after it has landed and is accruing storage charges at a port. If you are a free-zone entity planning to supply UAE customers, raise it early — with us or with anyone else you are talking to.
SFIMS runs one licensed facility, and it is in Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi. We do not operate a separate depot in Dubai, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise on a landing page.
What that means in practice: your stock is held under DOH and MOH approved conditions in Mussafah, and it reaches Dubai on temperature-controlled delivery. For most customers that is the better arrangement anyway — one licensed location, one temperature record, one inventory, rather than stock split across sites with a handover in the middle where the cold chain can break.
If you need stock physically held inside Dubai for same-hour access, we are not the right fit, and we will tell you that on the call.
No. Our licensed facility is in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, and we serve Dubai from there with scheduled temperature-controlled delivery. We would rather be straight about that than imply a Dubai location we do not have.
On scheduled routes rather than ad hoc, which is what keeps cold chain deliveries controlled. Frequency is agreed based on your order pattern.
Often yes, but the structure needs checking first. Free-zone licensing does not automatically allow distribution onto the mainland, and it is much easier to sort out before stock arrives.
Frequently, though it depends on your volumes and how much handling you need. The bigger saving is usually not building or licensing a facility of your own.
